My name is Victoria and I am a member of your meet-up, I am also a certified early childhood teacher and developmental therapist. I taught in the public schools for seven years both kindergarten and preschool sp ed. I am lucky enough to get to stay home with my son CJ and part time work as a ceramics teacher at Sinai Temple's Early childhood center in the gold coast and Catherine Cook school in old town. I have a love and passion for the arts and love to share my knowledge. The reason I am writing you is to see if you will list my play date clay class on your calendar.
The class consists of parents and their children birth on up making and creating clay sculptures. The infants, toddlers, and preschoolers will work with their moms to create hand prints and/or footprints in clay. These will be than painted by the parent or child, I than will glaze them and fire them in a kiln thus creating beautiful mementos. These make great Mother's day Gifts for families (grandmother's, Aunts etc.), Father's day gifts, birthdays or just beautiful memories to treasure.
Older children (3 and up) or parents can create flower pots, little pots, and sculptures all with my personal assistance and guidance.
Cost is 15 dollars per family for one creation, and 10 dollars for each additional child or clay creation.
Included in the cost is Clay, Glaze, Kiln firing, Paint, and all supplies.
This is a fun class and a great parent / child event. Sign Up today. Max of 15 families per session
